Season Ender

The PMRA World Finals were held October 27-28 at Tulsa Raceway Park. There was a race Saturday and a separate race on Sunday. It was the perfect weather for racing with clear skies and highs in the low 70s each day.

On Saturday Elyse got Runner-Up in the Ultra Street finals against Ben Gartner. It was a very close 1/8th mile heads-up race; she lost by 0.03 seconds! She fell out of Super Comp and Pro E/T classes early by breaking out. In Pro E/T the only good thing about breaking out was that Elyse ran a new personal best time at 8.42 seconds in the 1/4 mile!

On Sunday the team was stoked when Elyse took home first place in Ultra Street! The track was a little cool in the morning leading to some traction issues in qualifying, but by the time the Finals rolled around, track conditions were great and Elyse made a killer pass and took home the win. Elyse also entered Super Comp again on Sunday but fell out early after running 0.02 seconds too fast.

Having won the most PMRA Ultra Street races for the year, Elyse won the 2018 Ultra Street Championship.

This was the last race of the year on the McKinnon Motorsports schedule. The team is working on plans for 2019, so stay tuned!
