Better Late than Never

This past weekend was a double header for the PMRA season opener with a race on Saturday and a second race on Sunday. It was a hot weekend, but it had actually cooled down compared to Friday when a storm came through overnight. The rain delayed the event a bit Saturday morning, but the crew got the track dried out quickly and the PMRA team kept things running smoothly all day.

Elyse entered both of the McKinnon Motorsports S1000RR’s into the competition (Iron Hand, 2010 and Treadstone, 2016.) She raced on Iron Hand in the Super Comp class (8.90 Index) both days. On Saturday there was a new heads-up class called Ultra Street which she entered with Treadstone. The Ultra Street class is a great fit for her bikes because no power-adders are allowed and it calls for a stock clutch. Since the Ultra Street class was only run on Saturday, on Sunday she entered Treadstone in Pro-ET. Elyse fell out early both days in Super Comp, but went rounds in Pro-ET (achieving a top 8 finish) and got runner-up in Ultra Street.

Thanks to the PMRA team for another great event to start off their 2017 season!
