My friend Kim and her boyfriend Smolies came to Heartland Park with us today. Smolies was running the GSXR 1000 he built this winter, equipped with a slider clutch and a nitrous bottle. He’s been working on dialing in the clutch, so he was a true “test and tuner” that night, doing some passes, then stopping to work on the clutch before running some more. He also tested out his nitrous bottle and bottle warmer. While waiting our turn, we also enjoyed watching some of the cars race; our favorites to watch are the dragsters (had to plug our ears!), but also enjoyed a few ordinary looking cars that surprised us by having more power than we expected!
