We went back to Ryan Schnitz’s Drag Racing School last week. We did a classroom day at Schnitz Racing on Thursday and went over some racing essentials like the importance of having a consistent process and key racing techniques. It was good to get a refresher and focus back on good habits. On Friday we spent the day on the track at Lucas Oil Raceway in conjunction with NHDRO‘s May Bike Fest. Each pass was video taped and after each run we’d go back to the tent and Ryan would critique it and offer some pointers to work on for the next pass. It’s very helpful to have someone with an experienced eye watching for those little things that need tweaking. We went to RSR Drag School for the first time in 2013 and at that time I went from running 9.7 seconds to 9.1. On Friday I ran an 8.59 E/T on pump gas! (That’s a new personal best.) We had a great time at the school and once again found it very helpful and brought back lots of things to think about and work on.
Back to School!
